MRWED is Extending the Range of Training and Assessment Offerings with Two New Diplomas!

After much preparation and courseware development, MRWED is proud to announce that we have two new Diplomas available for students to undertake. These were added to our extension of scope late in 2011, but are now ready for their much anticipated commercial release. The first diploma is the Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50111), which is geared towards senior VET practitioners. The second diploma is focused upon training developers and instructional designers and is called the Diploma of Training Design and Development (TAE50211). Our first public offerings of each course commence in March 2012, with correspondence and Online options following soon after. We even have a “Double Diploma” option which offers great value for participants who wish to undertake both qualifications. For more information on either qualification visit:

New Brisbane Centre opening

MRWED has a new home in Brisbane and it is the ground floor of 127 Creek Street!  It is located minutes from Central station and is close to all the other Brisbane hubs. As a result, this makes the centre a premier training location in the city. “Its spacious and modern fit out will provide students with a truly unique experience”, MRWED Head of Learning, Stephen Murphy said. It is almost double the size of our previous training facility and will enable a more practical and comfortable learning environment. The Centre was officially opened on the 10th of February, with the first Certificate IV in Training and Assessment class commencing on the 13th. “We look forward to many wonderful years at this new location and we know our students will love this spot as much as we do!”, MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe said.

Winning and Grinning at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai

MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe appeared at the recent World HRD Congress held at the Taj Hotel, Lands End, Mumbai, from 16-18th of February 2012. The three day event presented key challenges before HR Professionals shaping the future of their organisations through talent management and development. Human Resources can play a crucial role in shaping careers and building an organisation on trust and core values and provides it with a defined vision for the future. This year’s theme was “Survive and Thrive” and Marc presented his 26 tips for how trainers can survive in their environments through engaging and enlivening their audiences. Also at the event, Marc was presented with a Global HR Excellence award for Strategic Leadership. “This was a great honour and testimony that what we are doing in building our business as an employer of choice is working”, Marc said.

Training Trainers at MIT (Pune) in India

The management of the engineering faculty of Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), Pune has agreed to offer MRWED’s “Training Trainers Programs” for all of its Post Graduate students. The first of 6 workshops will be held in February 2012. Founder and Executive President of MIT, Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad said that “MIT has been founded by teachers who firmly believe that value-based quality education is the best foundation for success in life. With this in mind, MIT focus on excellent infrastructure and faculty for imparting the highest quality of holistic education”. MRWED are thrilled to be supporting that commitment to quality by giving their graduates a leg up in the ultra-competitive Indian job market. “The Training Trainers Program will help to build the participants’ confidence in front of groups, enable more effective public speaking techniques to be used and develop important skills in leading others”, MRWED CEO, Marc Ratcliffe said.

New MRW ED Learning Leader in the West!

We are thrilled to announce that the MRWED family has grown in Western Australia with the addition of Katie Seabrook as one of our Certificate IV in Training and Assessment trainers. Katie comes to MRWED from the Australian Defence Force where she was a part of the Royal Australian Medical Corps. As part of this role Katie delivered training to new and existing Medical trainees. Katie is a vibrant and passionate training professional with over 10 years of experience in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs in dynamic, international environments.
